Had a lovely 2 night stay at the Old Mill Lodge. Rooms were clean, modern and comfortable. Staff were fantastic, especially Ellie and a new chap who you’d think had been working there for years. They couldn’t do enough. We’re so helpful and friendly! Would recommend this hotel to all
I spent a very comfortable two nights here, and could have stayed longer. Lovely room, very quiet, good bed, and an adequate breakfast. (I brought my own cafetiere, so enjoyed a good coffee in my room prior to breakfast.). Staff very helpful, and went out of their way with advice etc.. The location is perfect, with some wonderful walking, despite the rain. Look forward to next visit.
I had a lovely experience the staff were amazing! And they upgraded everyone's room to make it special for their guests. What a lovely touch. And Ellie in particular was lovely I couldn't fault any of the staff. Thank you for making my stay special
It was a lot better than I expected after reading other reviews. The room was a little small, and the shower took about 5 minutes to warm up, but everything was clean and didn't feel at all tired or dated. Staff were pleasant, and the breakfast was fantastic. A lot of roadworks in the area made getting around a challenge, but I can't fault the hotel for that.
Nice Hotel staff, the food is incredible. Freshly made and just fantastic . The location is quite & it provides a good view into the river Avon. Its good to see the old mill spinning outside from the restaurant as you having your meal . Recommended
I have given this hotel high ratings based on value for money. My wife and I booked a basic double room for 2 nights at a cost of £163, this included breakfast. We stayed in the main hotel, room 126, it was small and had faults (leaking shower head, curtain part hanging off the rail) however the bed was very comfortable. Continental breakfast was fine, the breakfast room and adjoining decking overlooking the river and working water wheel was lovely. The hotel definitely needs updating however they would then need to increase their rates. At the price we paid it was absolutely fine, if we wish to stay in a more refined hotel next time we will increase our budget accordingly. I would encourage guests to walk along the canal towpath into the centre of Bath, this is approximately 2.5 miles.
Hear me out - this hotel could become the hero of this town with a simple move: build a new bridge, undercutting the bridge trolls next door that are profiting 1,000,000 £ per year by exploiting a historical landmark while clogging traffic! Great stay.
No idea what all these bad reviews are about. The hotel is very clean. The rooms size is absolutely normal, all staff members were super friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is more than sufficient with a stunning view over the bridge from the lovely restaurant. Parking was easy and unproblematic. We are absolutely staying here again.
